A route book ended by bike shops
A rider makes the stop
If for nothing else but to gawk
At someone else’s bike,
Or wheels that are lighter than a hat.
A drink, a shirt, a tube, a bite, advice
These are things that are reasons
But the urge to go in is greater that its parts
And I want to spend money I don’t have.
The rest is welcome and feeling refreshed
Either by nourishment of encouragement.
I ride back to the other and get the same.
If there were not other responsibilities
I would gladly ride between the two all day long.
